Who We Are

We are shooting enthusiats, outdoorsmen (and outdoorswomen), hunters, target shooters, and just gun junkies with a hobby gone crazy.

This started as a personal project to gather information on the more popular cartridges commonly used for hunting. Many friends, both military and civilian, wanted to know the same things:

• What is the best hunting rifle for Antelope, Deer, Elk, Moose, or Bear?
• Which is the better handgun for home defense or law enforcement? The 9mm, 357 Sig, 40 S&W, or the 45 ACP?
• Will my 270, 30-06, or other rifle have enough power to hunt Elk, Moose, Bear or Dangerous Game?
• Can I get more power with less recoil?
• How can I maximize distance and accuracy?
• How can I maximixe energy on target while reducing recoil?

Though many people have the same questions, we found that some people wanted more detail then others. This Guide will help answer questions from the guy that just wants a "Yes" or "No" answer...to the guy that wants to see detailed comparisons and raw data such as velocity, muzzle energy, recoil, trajectory, energy down range, and overall bullet performance as it compares to other cartridges.
